KinoSol is a specific benefit corporation that originated with the mission to decrease global food waste. The KinoSol team began by focusing on small-scale farmers in rural communities, to understand their challenges and needs around food preservation. Working directly with these farmers, we designed and tested nine different prototypes, each learning from the previous, in order to create the most effective, accessible model we could. Through pilot testing and implementation, KinoSol has been at work in over 40 countries around the world from Uganda to Thailand.
KinoSol has partnered with numerous organizations for field-testing all over the world. We have worked primarily with aid organizations, churches, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Each organization has been instrumental in helping KinoSol collect field data from various communities, climates, and environments.
KinoSol International Trainings
EDUCATION IS POWER
KinoSol holds trainings in order to introduce smallholder farmers in eastern Africa to the Orenda and methods of decreasing post-harvest loss, including best dehydration practices. Another objective of these trainings is to teach business skills, such as budgeting and record keeping.
At KinoSol, we believe in the power of partnerships. Through strategic partnerships, we can increase our impact for communities and families around the world. KinoSol partners work on economic development, health and nutrition, agricultural, and community development projects. We work with partners to implement Orendas and conduct agriculture and entrepreneurship trainings for smallholder farmers.
